Terms and Conditions
Last updated: April 24, 2026
Welcome to Narrative Code. These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using our website and buying our products. By visiting narrativecode.com or purchasing any product from us, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. About Us
This website is owned and operated by Narrative Code. In these Terms, the words “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Narrative Code. The words “you” and “your” refer to the person visiting our website or buying our products.
If you need to contact us for any reason, you can reach us at:
- Business name: Narrative Code
- Website: https://narrativecode.com
- Email: admin@narrativecode.com
2. Products We Sell
Narrative Code builds and sells WordPress plugins, including SimpleBoards and its Pro add-on. Our products are digital goods. After purchase, you receive a license key and a download link that lets you install and use the plugin on your WordPress site.
A license gives you the right to use the plugin on the number of sites listed on your purchase. It does not transfer ownership of the code to you. You cannot resell, redistribute, or publish our plugins as your own product.
3. Orders and Payments
All payments on our website are processed by Paddle, our authorized reseller. Paddle handles the checkout, collects payment, and manages any applicable taxes or VAT based on your country. When you buy from us, your order is technically sold by Paddle on our behalf, and Paddle’s own terms also apply to the transaction.
Prices on our website are shown in the currency listed at checkout. We may update prices at any time, but changes do not affect orders that are already complete.
4. License Activation and Updates
After a successful purchase, you receive a license key by email. You can use this key to activate the plugin inside your WordPress dashboard. An active license gives you access to plugin updates and support for the period you paid for, usually one year.
When your license term ends, the plugin keeps working, but you stop receiving updates and support until you renew. Keeping your license active is important, because updates include security fixes and compatibility improvements for new WordPress versions.
5. Renewals
Some of our licenses renew automatically each year so your updates and support continue without interruption. You can cancel the automatic renewal at any time from your account page or by emailing us. If you cancel before the renewal date, you will not be charged again, and your current license stays active until its end date.
6. Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day refund on our Pro licenses. If the plugin does not fit your needs, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your original purchase. Full details, including how to request a refund and which cases are not eligible, are explained on our Refund Policy page:
Refund Policy: https://narrativecode.com/refund-policy/
7. Acceptable Use
When you use our website or plugins, you agree not to:
- break any law that applies to you or your users
- try to reverse engineer, copy, or resell our code as your own product
- use our plugins to run sites that promote illegal content, spam, or harm to others
- attempt to attack, overload, or disrupt our website or services
We may suspend or cancel your license without a refund if we find clear evidence that you are breaking these rules.
8. Support
We provide email support for active Pro license holders. Support covers help with installation, configuration, bug reports, and general questions about how the plugin works. It does not cover custom development, third-party plugin conflicts we cannot reproduce, or changes to your theme code.
We try to reply to every support request within 2 business days, but we do not guarantee a specific response time.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on narrativecode.com, including the plugin code, text, images, and design, is owned by Narrative Code, unless clearly marked otherwise. Our plugins are released under the GPL license where required by WordPress, but our brand name, logo, and marketing content are not free to reuse.
10. Warranty and Liability
We build our plugins with care and test them before release, but we cannot promise that they will work perfectly in every possible WordPress setup. Our products are provided “as is”, without any promise that they will meet every need or stay error-free at all times.
To the extent allowed by law, Narrative Code is not responsible for indirect losses such as lost revenue, lost data, or downtime caused by using our plugins. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product in the 12 months before the claim.
You are responsible for keeping backups of your WordPress site before installing or updating any plugin, including ours.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when we add new products, change pricing, or adjust our support policy. When we make a meaningful change, we update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to use our website or plugins after an update means you accept the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh where NarrativeCode is registered. Any dispute that cannot be solved through friendly contact will be handled by the courts of that country.
13. Contact
